Ha! That was it. I re-extracted it with a different program and it is working. Looks like the program I used the first time had a hard time with the directory information in the RAR file. Got all the files, but not in all the correct directories. I was trying to use tools I had on-hand to handle the RAR extraction without re-installing WinRAR. So "DAEMON tools Ultra" is not a reliable RAR extractor. Good to know. It really did seem like a bad download/extraction, I did not think to suspect my RAR extractor. Brilliant!

I love learning something new.

Hey thanks again for the update. I don't plan on asking for a refund. I want to help if possible. I want to support this development. Even knowing that there is no current plans for an update I am OK with. I have done more looking and the file in the error message does not exist in the download I got. I created that directory and copied the EXE into that folder and I go a different error. Progress!

The error I get now talks about looking for an Oculus DLL in another directory that does not exist on my computer:

---------------------------
The UE4-ROV_Test_Beta Game has crashed and will close
---------------------------
Assertion failed: false [File:D:\Build\++UE4\Sync\Engine\Plugins\Runtime\Oculus\OculusAudio\Source\OculusAudio\Private\OculusAudioDllManager.cpp] [Line: 16]

---------------------------
OK
---------------------------

I wonder if I got a bad download. In any case, I don't mind trying more things as they come to me. But I also don't want to bother you if you are not interested. I am also happy to take this to a less public setting if you would prefer too.

For now, if you ever update, let me know, if there are prior versions I can try to see if they install differently I would love to try them, I will keep trying things and if I figure something out I'll let you know if you would like. I am a professional troubleshooter (not my title but describes what I do) not in programming VR apps for sure, but I do have a mindset and tenacity that may be useful.

Any word on getting this to work? do you have an ETA on the next update?

Thank you for responding! My anti virus does not find you a threat. ;)
To me this error looks like a problem with the build. That there is a dependency missing or messed up. https://forums.unrealengine.com/development-discussion/content-creation/1384646-packaged-scene-won-t-play-on-clients-machine

I was wondering if anyone that has tried this and it works for, if this was the first version they tried or if they had a prior version that may have supplied whatever was missing. I can play all sorts of other VR titles, on 2 different HMDs some even use the Unreal engine.

I have a second question that perhaps should be a new post: On you page you say: "Along +6.000 users at SteamVR enviroment" How do I find this environment? I looked all over and cant figure out which one this is.

I just got it and tried launching by clicking on the EXE and I get the message:

---------------------------
Error
---------------------------
Couldn't start:
"D:\Keep\VR\TestHMD\testhmd-win-stable_1_1b_Framerate\ROV_Test_Beta/Binaries/Win64/ROV_Test_Beta.exe" ROV_Test_Beta
CreateProcess() returned 2.
---------------------------
OK
---------------------------

Is there a secret? I tried the 1_1a and get a similar message.
